I made my brother, Matt his own quilt for his birthday. This one I based on Fig Tree & Co quilt pattern "Jelly Stars"... I used a mixture of various fabrics from my stash to make each star unique. I used a lightweight spring/summer organic cotton batting and machine quilted the entire quilt (88" x 88") with swirls, stars, lady bugs, bees, fireflies and meandering stippling. I made it a little larger by adding a bigger border than called for in the original pattern. It was truly an easy pattern to cut-out and put together.

These are unfinished quilt blocks that I started in March 2009 to make into a birthday quilt for my brother... I love jacob's ladder pattern in quilts and found a great block pattern on The Quilter's Cache.
After laying them out on my bed and viewing them from doorway I found them too busy, and plan to do something with them at a later date.... for now they are stored in sewing room.
